Hello and thank you for taking a moment to view this page, and for your interest in Downey Decorative and what we are all about. My name is Ron Downey and together with my wife Amber and all of our children, we currently reside at our rustic little cabin nestled away in the woods.
We are a small family owned and operated construction business, in which we have different divisions, how ever our specialty is in decorative concrete and remodel, as well as custom homes and design. We have been in the construction business for over twenty two years, and have experience in all aspects of this field. We are quite confident, that given the opportunity we are able to complete with great integrity, any task set before us.
Right out of high school i received a two year vocational degree in construction, which covered all aspects of both residential and commercial construction. This was a hand’s on learning program with equal class time. My father was the first generation builder, so I spent the first ten years of my career working with him. We did mostly remodel and new custom construction, with some occasional commercial work. In the early 90’s i ventured into doing track homes and apartments, then a bit more production framing, and roofing of all sorts. We have always done our own excavating and foundation work as well as our own flat work.
With a passion for concrete and a lot of extensive research, I was slowly learning the arts of decorative concrete work. I attended many workshops (and still do to stay on top of all of the newest products and technical information) discovering a whole new world of concrete applications and concrete products which were rapidly increasing and still are. The only limitation one holds to the art of decorative concrete, are the limitations held in the depths of the imagination…SO DREAM.
